I like your predictions as well, except for a couple, like the finals. Lol no offense to you English, but i don't see you guys getting that far. But i do see Spain winning.
A. France & Mexico
B. Argentina & Nigeria
C. England US
D Germany Ghana
E Netherlands Denmark
F Italy Paraguay
G Brazil Portugal
H Spain Chile.
Round of 16.
France v Nigeria = France
Mexico v Argentina = Mexico ( i feel like Mexico will have a chance to redeem themselves)
Germany v US = Germany (repeat of 2002)
England v Ghana = England.
Netherlands v Paraguay = Netherlands
Italy v Denmark = Italy
Brazil v Chile = Brazil
Portugal v Spain (They are both the teams im rooting for, but i would say Spain.)
England v France = England
Mexico v Germany = Germany
Netherlands v Brazil = Brazil
Italy v Spain = Spain
Spain v Germany = Spain
England v Brazil = Brazil
Spain v Brazil = SPAIN
I followed this bracket.
I answered this question a multiple of times. I'll just copy and paste.
Although World Cup is unpredictable, but I think the winner will come between Argentina and Spain. For those who are against me because I haven't included Brazil. Yes, Brazil has a great team but there is no possibility for Brazil to win the World Cup. Not because Ronaldinho didn't call up because Brazil won two tournaments without him. Don't get me wrong because he has an impact on the national team but Dunga simply didn't call him to participate in the grandest stage of them all which is the World Cup.
Let's get back on task. In Germany 2006, Brazil had one of the best squads yet Brazil hadn't won the World Cup. All the World's famous soccer players from Brazil were in the squad so why couldn't Brazil win the tournament? I understand that the team that had eliminated Brazil was also a favorite for Germany 2006. However, France was depended on Zinedine Zidane whose goal was to never lose any matches against Brazil. We must understand that Brazil had the best team and should have made to final. I don't think Brazil has a possibility to win the World Cup but I'm sure Brazil will make it to semi final.
As Fifa's number one ranking so why not Spain? I think Spain might probably win because Spain is number one on Fifa ranking. Spain had also defeated some big teams in the past few months. Such as Germany, Argentina, and England and somehow Spain had included France to their victims list yesterday. Best team, best players and almost everything about is good so Spain has a good chance on winning the tournament.
Since Maradona gets in charge in Argentina, the team went downhill. They lost almost all the matches they had played. Argentina is not in a tough group so they'll move on to the next round. According to the way they played against Germany yesterday, I noticed a lot of improvements have been made. If Argentina keeps the same performance, they might win the World Cup as well.
