Freiburg Chasing European Spot
Christian Streich’s men have struggled to win matches since league competition has returned in Germany’s top flight, going 1-3-1 in their last five. They’ve drawn against some relatively quality sides though, such as Wolfsburg last weekend and RB Leipzig on Matchday 26. However, their one victory did come against a very good Monchengladbach team, beating them 1-0 two weeks ago.
Currently just four points behind Wolfsburg for the final European spot, it’s crucial that Freiburg get positive results out of their last three fixtures if they want a chance to be in the Europa League next season. They showed guts against Oliver Glasner’s side in their 2-2 draw last week, coming back from a 2-0 deficit to secure a point.

After Hertha, Freiburg will play Bayern Munich then Schalke. Considering they’ve tied three of their last five matches, it’s only a matter of time until their solid form results in some victories. Ultimately, this would be the perfect time for Freiburg to start winning.

Hertha Berlin Looking to Finish Strong
11th place Hertha will look to finish off the season on a high note after going 2-1-2 in their last five matches. Both victories came against two weak squads though in FC Koln and Augsburg. Their two defeats have occurred in back-to-back matchdays, losing to Dortmund and Frankfurt, respectively. Their last three fixtures won’t be easy by any means though, with Leverkusen then Monchengladbach on the schedule after Tuesday’s clash with Freiburg.

Bruno Labbadia’s squad are eight points off sixth place Wolfsburg so any shot at a European placing is unlikely at this point. But, they can play spoiler in their remaining games. We know that Freiburg is chasing a Europa League spot, meanwhile, just one point separates Leverkusen and Gladbach in fourth and fifth place for the final Champions League berth. With Hertha’s last two fixtures against these two sides, they have the chance to crush European dreams for either team.

Best Bet
Given the importance of this match for Freiburg, I do believe they’re going to put their best foot forward and get a result. Although playing at home hasn’t necessarily been a benefit since there are no fans, it still gives the host side a sense of comfort. It will be a close match, but Christian Streich’s side will pull out the three points on Tuesday.
Pick: Freiburg +161
