Opening Hell in a Cell Odds Favor Both Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins Losing Championships

  • WWE Hell in a Cell will take place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on October 6th
  • The event is set to host two hotly-contested Hell in a Cell matches with Superstars from the Raw brand
  • Who will leave with gold in their grasp before the WWE Draft returns five days later?

Although a little less than two weeks remain until WWE's next pay-per-view, Hell in a Cell (Oct. 6th), only the top two matches have been confirmed for the card thus far:

  • Seth Rollins vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship, and
  • Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks for the Raw Women's Championship.

Both will take place inside the demonic Hell in a Cell structure and should be nothing short of spectacular.

It's also worth noting that the WWE Draft is right around the corner,  so anything is bound to happen at the event.

Fans have already begun to place bets on who they think could emerge victorious in each outing. Courtesy of BetOnline, let's break down the odds and whether they'll ultimately be accurate.

Raw Women's Championship Odds: Becky Lynch vs Sasha Banks

Wrestler Odds at BetOnline*
Becky Lynch +200
Sasha Banks -300

*All odds taken 09/23/19.

Becky Lynch was favored by fans in the odds going into Clash of Champions, and rightfully so; there was no reason for her to drop the Raw Women's Championship to Sasha Banks so soon in their Raw rivalry. Banks becoming champion at that point would have served as nice progression for her heel character, but at least she was protected in defeat that night via the non-finish.

Hell in a Cell will be a different story, however, as it appears the WWE Universe is ready for The Boss to dethrone The Man for the prestigious prize and put an end to her reign as Raw Women's champion. Additionally, fans are expecting a decisive victory for Banks, which is exactly what should go down to ensure she remains on the right track.

With two weeks left of WWE TV before Hell in a Cell, Lynch could very well convince the masses that she is primed to retain her title by keeping Banks at bay. Then again, fans recognize that her championship run has been less-than-stellar so far and that, if there was any appropriate time to pull the trigger on a title change, it'd be at Hell in a Cell.

You have to assume Banks is itching to redeem herself after losing to Charlotte Flair in the very first women's Hell in a Cell match three years ago. This would be the perfect way for her journey to come full circle.

Universal Championship Odds: Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt

Wrestler Odds at BetOnline
Seth Rollins +300
Bray Wyatt -500

Seth Rollins has typically been the safe bet for most of his matches on pay-per-view in 2019, but that will be far from the case come Hell in a Cell when he puts his Universal Championship up for grabs against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt inside Satan's Structure.

Mere moments removed from Rollins' successful title defense versus Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions, The Fiend struck on the stage and left Rollins laying with a Mandible Claw, making it known that he has his sights set on that strap. No one has been able to put Wyatt down since his SummerSlam return, and Rollins likely won't be any different.

If the odds are any indication of Rollins' chances at Hell in a Cell, then it is all but a guarantee that we are getting a new Universal champion next Sunday. Granted, they could fluctuate between now and then, but that isn't typically common with a match that is as predictable as this one.

Predictability, at least with Wyatt vs. Rollins, shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing whatsoever. It's only logical that The Fiend becomes the new champ considering the massive amount of momentum he has right now, not to mention that it's something fans have been dying to see for months.

Outside interference is always a possibility, but Wyatt walking out with the title simply makes too much sense to not happen.
