Daniel Dubois and Ricardo Snijders will sling leather at the BT Sport Studios in Stratford, London, this Saturday (August 29th, 2:00 PM ET). Dubois vs Snijders will broadcast on the venue’s titular network, BT Sport.
Dubois is defending his WBO international heavyweight title against a relatively short-notice challenger in Snijders. Erik Pfeifer was supposed to stand opposite Dubois but medical issues caused him to drop out and present this opportunity for Snijders.
Daniel Dubois vs Ricardo Snijders Odds
Odds as of August 27th.
The boxing gods are giving me several birthday presents in the form of big fights that are set to go down this Saturday.
Daniel Dubois’ Path of Devastation
This is quite transparently a stay-busy fight for Dubois who has a high-stakes bout with Joe Joyce scheduled for October 24th.
Dubois is an incredibly compelling prospect and fits the stylistic mold that many in the public yearn for in a would-be heavyweight boxing star: someone with brick fists who can halt the proceedings at any time.

Dubois has only gone the distance a once as a pro and has an astonishing 93-percent knockout rate.
Who Exactly Is Ricardo Snijders?
Snijders has largely been a career cruiserweight but is jumping up a division to aim for even greater successes at heavyweight. This fight presents an opportunity for the former Dutch heavyweight champ and cruiserweight champ to vault himself into the top-twenty heavyweight rankings internationally.
The glaring issue with Snijders is how light his resume actually is. More often than not, his opposition is either club-circuit journeymen or outright tomato cans with far more losses than victories.
Dubois is such a compelling heavyweight prospect that the father of the reigning lineal champion is anointing him as the future king of the heavyweight ranks.
“Daniel Dubois… when all the others are retired and gone, is the next world champion.” 🏆
“He's a very dangerous man.”

One might theorize that Snijders’ time as a cruiserweight will lend itself to him having a speed edge, something that can allow Ricardo Snijders to be mobile offensively whereby he maintains defensive effectiveness. Snijders might be able to play this game for a bit but, invariably, Dubois ends up catching him with that vaunted power.
Dubois vs Snijders Tale of the Tape
|Kyotaro Fujimoto, Ebenezer Tetteh, Nathan Gorman||Significant Wins||Alexandre Kartozia and Denis Sterl-Guedes|
This fight is scheduled for twelve rounds but I am certain it does not go the distance. Even with Snijders, who doesn’t have the craziest knockout percentage overall, it’s important to contextualize that he has earned stoppages in seven of his last eight wins.
Ultimately, I see Dubois getting a stoppage victory inside of four rounds.
Pick: Daniel Dubois (-10000)
Main Card Picks for Dubois vs Snijders
- Sam Maxwell vs Joe Hughes: This is a crossroads fight with Maxwell in the role of undefeated, surging fighter opposite Hughes, who is the twenty-plus-fight veteran. Maxwell has an 85-percent knockout rate but Hughes has proved durable and has never been finished as a pro. I think that changes on Saturday and I see Maxwell securing the stoppage inside of seven rounds. Pick: Sam Maxwell (-185)
- Sunny Edwards vs Thomas Essomba: Considering the respective styles of both men, I foresee Edwards employing a savvy gameplan to rack up points en route to a decision victory. Pick: Sunny Edwards (-750)
