• Defending NFC East champs the Philadelphia Eagles are the second betting choice at odds of +150

The NFC East is the only NFL division in which every team has won at least one Super Bowl title. However, as teams get ready to kick off the 2020 season, the NFC East looks more like the NFC Least.

This was the only division without a 10-win team last season. Two of the four teams in the NFC East – the New York Giants and Washington Football Club – selected within the top four picks at the 2020 NFL Draft.

Oddsmakers have established the Dallas Cowboys as the -121 pick to take the title in the NFL Divisional odds.

• Points allowed per game: 20.1 (11th)
• Yards per game: 431.5 (1st)
• Yards allowed per game: 327.0 (9th)
• Turnover differential: -1 (18th)

There’s something about even-numbered years and the Cowboys that go together as smoothly as peanut butter and jelly. Dallas won the NFC East title in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

The Dallas offense could be spectacular under new head coach Mike McCarthy. Quarterback Dak Prescott can hand off to two-time NFL rushing champ Ezekiel Elliott.

Besides their 1,000-yard rusher, the Cowboys return a pair of 1,000-yard receivers (Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup) and a QB with 30 touchdown passes. Add to this sensational rookie receiver CeeDee Lamb.

Prediction: 11-5 (first).

Eagles Have Landed

• Points per game: 24.1 (12th)
• Points allowed per game: 22.1 (15th)
• Yards per game: 360.8 (14th)
• Yards allowed per game: 331.7 (10th)
• Turnover differential: -2 (22nd)

A sure sign that it’s football season – Eagles QB Carson Wentz is injured. He’s listed as day-to-day with a lower body ailment. Several other Eagles are also out, with safety Will Parks, defensive tackle Javon Hargrave, defensive end Derek Barnett and rookie receiver Jalen Reagor all expected to miss games to start the season.

A steady parade of injuries decimated the team last year, especially at the skill positions.

Eagles Key Additions and Losses

Wentz was sensational last season, playing all 16 regular-season games for the first time in his career. If Philly can stay healthier at the skill positions, the Eagles should contend for a postseason spot.

Prediction: 9-7 (second).

Here Comes The Judge

• Points per game: 21.3 (19th)
• Points allowed per game: 28.2 (30th)
• Yards per game: 338.5 (23rd)
• Yards allowed per game: 377.3 (25th)
• Turnover differential: -17 (31st)

Joe Judge will be the Giants’ fifth head coach since 2015. He takes the helm of a team that’s a combined 12-36 over the past three seasons.

John Mara said what sold them on Joe Judge was his view of the big picture. He thinks the communication between Judge and Gettleman has been great. They are both reasonable, talk it through, and then it's the New York Giants' decision.

The Giants are the only NFL team to reach double digits in losses in each of the past three seasons.

Daniel Jones and his league-leading 18 fumbles starts at QB. Running back Saquon Barkley is a game changer. But much of this team still smells gamey.

Prediction: 5-11 (third).

Washington got rid of its offensive nickname. Cleaning up the corrosive culture of this dumpster fire of a franchise won’t be so easily accomplished.

New head coach Ron Rivera is building around defense. Linebacker Chase Young, the second player chosen in the NFL Draft, is drawing comparisons to Lawrence Taylor.

On offense, sophomore receiver Terry McLaurin is a stud but RB Derrius Guise and WR Chad Latimer were jettisoned following off-field issues.

Prediction: 4-12 (fourth).
