SYNOT Games Grows Regulated Presence with Superbet Content Deal

Online casino content provider SYNOT Games has strengthened its European foothold through a recently penned supply deal with Romanian gambling operator Superbet.

The deal will see SYNOT Games’ full suite of casino games go live with Romania’s leading operator. The agreement between the content provider and Superbet came on the heels of similar distribution deals signed by the supplier in recent months as part of its strategy to expand across regulated markets across Europe.

SYNOT Games said in a press release from earlier today that through a successful integration process, its complete library will gradually become available to Superbet’s gambling customers. Players will thus gain access to a number of popular titles, including Respin Joker, Alchemist’s Gold, and Fruit Awards.

Superbet is set to become the third Romanian gambling operator to roll out content by SYNOT Games. The move has been authorized by the Romanian gambling regulator, ONJN.

Superbet is its homeland’s largest gambling operation and also boasts significant presence across the CEE region. In Romania, the company provides online gambling services and manages a retail betting network that currently includes more than 1,000 betting shops around the country and employs more than 3,500 people.

Major US private equity firm Blackstone Group recently purchased a minority stake in Superbet for €175 million.

European Expansion

The Superbet deal comes as part of SYNOT Games’ European expansion strategy. Last month, the company revealed that it had obtained licenses by the Danish Gambling Authority and the Portuguese gambling regulator, SRIJ, that would enable it to distribute its content in Denmark and Portugal through partnerships with locally licensed operators.

Aside from its recently obtained licenses from Danish and Portuguese gambling authorities, SYNOT is also licensed or certified by the gambling regulators of Malta, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Sweden.

The Malta-headquartered online casino supplier currently boasts a portfolio of more than 40 gaming titles that are available in 24 different languages and have been rolled out across more than 70 gambling websites.

Of their recent deal with Superbet, SYNOT Games CEO Ivan Kodaj said that they are “happy to support Superbet’s offering with a list of fresh and entertaining titles with a proven record on the market.” Mr. Kodaj went on that this latest deal highlights their “increasing popularity and market presence” and gives them “further recognition on the regulated markets.”

Heather Faulkner, Head of Online Gaming at the Romanian operator, added that “SYNOT’s portfolio is something we are enthusiastic to finally have” and that they are confident “this will be a long-lasting relationship given the reputation the provider has earned itself over the last few months.”

In June, SYNOT Games’ titles went live with online gambling operators NetBet and 777 under the terms of a deal that further expanded the supplier’s international presence.
