Scientific Games Takes SidePlay eInstant Content Live with Pennsylvania Lottery

Gambling technology and software provider Scientific Games has agreed to become the exclusive distributor of eInstant lottery content by SidePlay Entertainment across North America.

Under the terms of a recently penned deal between the two companies, the Pennsylvania Lottery will be the first to launch SidePlay’s online lottery products.

SidePlay Entertainment specializes in the development of instant win games for the global lottery market. The company is the primary supplier of gaming content to UK’s National Lottery.

Under its partnership with Scientific Games, SidePlay’s games will become available to North American players through its partner’s OpenGaming technology.

Scientific Games’ OpenGaming platform will supply SidePlay content exclusively across North America.

Scientific Games noted that its alliance with the specialist developer will significantly strengthen its eInstant offering available through its Open Gaming System, which is a core function within the OpenGaming ecosystem.

The OGS’ features serve as an online gaming content aggregator that comprises a market basket with Scientific Games’ proprietary titles as well as games from third-party developers and suppliers.

The Pennsylvania Lottery, which will be the first North American lottery organization to benefit from the recent partnership, currently features more than 70 eInstant games for desktop and mobile play that are delivered via Scientific Games’ OpenGaming technology.

Refining Game Content Available to Pennsylvania Players

Players from the Keystone State will first gain access to SidePlay’s newest gaming title, Piggy Bank Payout. This will be the first of many eInstant games by the studio to go live with the Pennsylvania Lottery.

New and existing titles will gradually become available with the lottery agency through OpenGaming in the coming months.

Commenting on their partnership with SidePlay, Amy Bergette, VP Lottery Digital Content Studio for Scientific Games, said that they are delighted to bring exciting new eInstant games to Pennsylvania Lottery customers first through their newly formed alliance.

Steve Hickson, Director of SidePlay, added that their team has worked closely with Scientific Games and the Pennsylvania Lottery and that their hard work will refine the gaming content available to the lottery operator’s players.

It is also on track to reach $1 billion in sales per year. It is hailed by many as one of the most successful, if not the most successful, iLottery programs in North America.
