Rootz Expands Offering with Microgaming Integration

Microgaming has added another online gambling operator to its ever-growing portfolio of clients, the major provider of iGaming content said in a press release from earlier today.

After a recently penned deal with Rootz Ltd., Microgaming’s content has gone live with the Malta-based operator’s Wildz online casino brand.

The rollout of Microgaming’s titles has been made possible by the successful integration of Rootz’ online casino with the provider’s gaming platform. Rootz can now offer its gambling customers a selection of the supplier's online slot games, including the largely popular Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck II. Rootz’ players have also been provided with access to Microgaming’s record-breaking progressive jackpot title Mega Moolah.

Earlier this year, a lucky player hit a €13,328,028.16 jackpot on Mega Moolah to become the winner of the third largest win from a Microgaming slot. Last year, another player scooped the record-breaking amount of €18,915,872.81 playing the popular game.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Microgaming Chief Commercial Officer Jean-Luc Ferriere said that they are delighted to join forces with Rootz and ink a deal that will provide the operator’s players with access to the provider’s “entertaining collection” of engaging titles.

The recent agreement with Rootz is the latest in a series of commercial deals inked by Microgaming in recent months. Earlier in August, the content supplier’s range of slots went live with leading Italian operator SKS365 Group’s flagship brand Planetwin365. Microgaming’s titles have also recently been rolled out across Mansion’s brands as well as with 888casino.

Wildz

Rootz launched its first online casino – Wildz – just a few months ago. Through the application of machine learning, Rootz’s Wildz brand looks to customize and tailor casino experience to each individual user’s preferences.

In May, the Malta-based online gambling operator obtained a license from the Malta Gaming Authority for the provision of B2C services.

Wildz went live with 500 slots, table games, and live casino titles, but has increased its offering since then adding content by premium developers and suppliers, including Microgaming.

Of their recent Microgaming integration, Rootz CEO Lasse Rantala said today that they are excited to be launching content by the major provider through their Wildz brand. He went on that “as Microgaming is one of the longest-standing companies in the iGaming industry, it is important for us that we carry their large selection of games which online casino players know well.” Mr. Rantala previously headed Gaming Innovation Group’s Rizk online casino brand.

After being granted a B2C license by the Malta Gaming Authority, Rootz is now eyeing a license in the newly reorganized Swedish online gambling market. The company said earlier this year that it has applied for a permit to operate in Sweden, but it is yet to be seem when the local Gambling Authority will give it the nod to enter the lucrative space.
