Playtech, GVC Elevate Live Casino Experience with New Studio
Gambling technology company Playtech this week announced that it has partnered Isle of Man gambling operator GVC Holdings to launch together a new dedicated Live Casino studio.
The Elevation Live Casino space is set to launch in several stages over the course next two months. Its unveiling will be backed by a major marketing campaign, Playtech further revealed in a press release on its official website.
Elevation will initially feature five blackjack tables and a roulette wheel studio. More Live Casino versions of popular table games will be added in the coming weeks.
Of its new purpose-built studio, Playtech said that it would be a “true visual spectacle” and that player experience will be enhanced by a vast video wall that will be creating a backdrop of fully immersive skyline. The Elevation Live Casino studio will offer casino gaming content exclusively across GVC’s many gambling brands.
The launch of the dedicated Live Casino space is part of the new long-term agreement that Playtech and GVC signed this past February. Under the deal, Playtech has agreed to supply technology and content across GVC’s gaming and sports betting brands.
And in June of this year, the two companies announced that the provider’s online casino content has been launched across GVC’s businesses, including bwin, partypoker, PartyCasino, and Sportingbet, among others.
Delivering Innovative Live Casino Experience
Commenting on the upcoming launch of the Elevation studio, Playtech COO Shimon Akad said that they are delighted to be extending their long-standing partnership with the company that is “behind some of the most iconic brands in online gambling.”
Mr. Akad also noted that Playtech has invested significantly in its Live Casino technology and facilities, “so in a year when we’ve done more than ever to enhance our product, it seems only fitting to be working with an industry leader to deliver an even more-innovative live experience.”
Over the past year, Playtech has launched a number of new games to boost its Live Casino content portfolio and has expanded its Live Casino presence in a number of new markets. In the third quarter of 2019 alone, the company launched its first dedicated roulette table for the Spanish market and has released a number of new games and variants, including Quantum Roulette, American Roulette, All Bets Blackjack, the revamped Hi-Lo Club, and Heads Up Hold’em.
Commenting on the newest addition to their offering, GVC COO Shay Segev said that “significant investment has gone into delivering this first stage of Elevation studio” and that they are delighted with the results as online gamblers are looking for “more immersive, entertainment-driven” Live Casino experience and the Live Casino segment has turned into one of the major growth areas in the online gambling industry.
