Neon Valley Studios Joins Microgaming’s Roster of Indie Game Developers

Microgaming has expanded its network of independent game development studios with the recent addition of Neon Valley Studios.

The game studio develops story-driven online slots games that are inspired by the buzz and glamour of Las Vegas. Its content is intended for gambling customers in non-US markets and provides contemporary Vegas experience.

In a press release on its official website, Microgaming said that the new addition to its ever-growing network of independent game developers will enable it to bring “a new flavour of superior games to the online casino market.”

News about Neon Valley Studios joining Microgaming’s network of independent content developers followed last month’s announcement that Gameburger Studios, another indie studio, would be cooking up and delivering exclusive American-style content to Microgaming for use by clients operating in non-US markets.

Gameburger Studios is best known for reimagining authentic land-based casino games and bringing those to the online gambling space.

First Release

Following yesterday’s announcement that Neon Valley Studios has joined Microgaming’s independent studios network, the game developer today released the first online slot under its partnership with the popular gaming content supplier.

Microgaming and Neon Valley Studios today presented Aurora Wilds, a five-reel, ten-payline title. Game action unfolds in the ethereal world of the Pacific Northwest. The new slot features expanding wilds, respins, bi-directional paylines, and the Jackpot Wheel. The game also offers breathtaking artwork which is set against the backdrop of the Northern Lights and a mystical soundtrack that further showcases the magic of the aurora borealis.

When the wild symbol appears, it fills the entire reel and awards a free respin. As additional wilds land, a player can be rewarded with up to three successive respins. When three scatter symbols land, the Jackpot Wheel is triggered. It guarantees one of four jackpot prizes and can award up to 2,000 times a player’s bet.

The game is exclusively available to Microgaming’s operators. Commenting on the new release, Brian Perego, Senior Creative Technical Designer at Neon Valley Studios said that they are delighted to see their first creation go live across Microgaming’s extensive operator network. Mr. Perego added that Aurora Wilds is designed to “captivate and reward players with fluid gameplay and big jackpots.”
