Habanero Goes Live in Colombia with Spain’s Codere
Supplier of slots and table games for the global online casino sector Habanero has entered Colombia’s regulated iGaming market as part of an extended content delivery deal with Spanish gambling giant Codere.
Under its partnership with Codere, Habanero has been able to provide Colombian players with access to its content for the very first time.
Codere customers in Colombia can now play popular slots such as 5 Mariachis, Egyptian Dreams, and Lucky Lucky as well as Habanero’s hit table games roulette, blackjack, and casino poker.
Through its partnership with Codere, Habanero has been able to debut its games portfolio in one of the most lucrative regulated Latin American markets. Colombia reorganized its market in a manner enabling international gambling companies to provide their products and services in a regulated environment a few years ago.
The Colombian space has attracted quite a lot of interest from major industry providers over the past year, with the likes of Pragmatic Play, Playtech, ORYX Gaming, and Greentube announcing content supply deals with locally licensed operators in a bid to capitalize on the market’s potential.
Colombia has become the latest of several new jurisdictions Habanero has introduced its portfolio of more than 100 titles to in recent months. Last month, the company debuted its games in the Romanian market through a deal with betting and gaming operator Winbet.
Late last year, Habanero entered Portugal through a content supply deal with Casino Solverde, one of the leading operators in the local iGaming space.
Latin America Key Focus for Habanero in 2020
Commenting on their Colombian debut, Habanero Business Development Executive Vera Motto said that Colombia is a really exciting market that is full of potential and that they are excited to enter it at a time “when opportunities are a plenty.”
Ms. Motto went on that to be able to make their Colombian debut with “such a prestigious and respected operator makes our entrance particularly significant” and that they will continue to grow their footprint in the market.
Codere Business Development Executive Salo Leder commented that they are happy to be the first operator to go live with Habanero’s portfolio that features “a vast number of high-quality offerings, matched by an array of state-of-the-art marketing solutions.”
Colombia was the latest LatAm jurisdiction Habanero has introduced its offering into as the content provider is looking to expand significantly in the region. Its games portfolio is already available in Mexico with Codere.
Following its expansion success in 2019, Habanero is now looking to build on what it achieved last year. In a recent interview with gaming news outlet Yogonet, Ms. Motto said that Latin America “is set to be a strong focus for us in the year ahead” and that the region’s “incredible gaming culture makes it an unmissable opportunity.”
Aside from Mexico and now Colombia, the games creator and supplier has more supply deals in the pipeline for these two markets as well as for Argentina, Ms. Motto also revealed.
